Twenty-four fire and rescue teams from the Jerusalem, Dan and Central districts, as well as forces from the special unit of the Israel Fire and Rescue Unit, Lehava, are working to control the raging fire near the Ein Kerem neighborhood of Jerusalem.At this stage there is no immediate danger to additional buildings and houses in the neighborhood.

State Comptroller Matanyahu Engelman published at noon Monday the annual report, detailing deficiencies related to the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Defense and the IDF, the Tax Authority, the National Insurance Institute and other public bodies.Engelman said that "the reviews deal with issues related to each and every Ine of us - our security, the use of public funds and the decision-making mechanisms that need to be improved in order to best serve the public in Israel."

The Yesha Council welcomed the publication of the State Comptroller's report, which reveals a long list of failures in the activities of the Civil Administration in Judea and Samaria."For many years we have been trying to provoke discussion about the many problems involved in having a military body set up for completely different purposes, now managing the daily lives of Israeli residents in Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley. This creates many gaps and discrimination against Israelis living in the area in government services," they said.They added, "The report raises serious issues in the work of the administration, and presents the difficulties facing the authorities and residents of Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley, in providing services and addressing the challenges of the region. A fundamental change of situation and a radical correction of the matter is required by applying the full Israeli law throughout Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley."

Netanyahu laments high infection rate in Israel - but adds that rate has remained stable in recent weeks, ending the surge seen in July.

A woman in the Har Adar Jewish community of Jerusalem was hospitalized after complaining about wounds to her head.Police have arrived at her home and are investigating the cause of the incident.
